3 Checking the contents
Check that all the contents of the pack are present and the packaging is undamaged. The pack contents are listed on the box.
If anything is missing or damaged, please contact your local customer support and service centre. Their address is in
Chapter 30 at the end of this User’s Manual.
4 Checking the blood glucose unit
Blood glucose results can be displayed in two different units of measurement (mmol/L or mg/dL). Consequently, the voice unit
and the meter come in two different versions. Check that your voice unit and meter both display the unit you are accustomed
to, in Canada mmol/L. The type plate on the back of the devices indicates which unit each one uses. If you do not know which
is the right unit for you, ask your doctor.
The unit of measurement cannot be changed. If the wrong unit is printed on the type plate, please consult your dealer
or pharmacy. Using the wrong unit can cause you to misinterpret test results.
The voice unit and meter must both use the same unit. If the units are not the same, the voice unit does not announce results
and does not save them in the diary. Instead it announces that the units of measurement are different. If this happens, please
contact your local customer support and service centre (see Chapter 30).
