Introduction

Alarm clock function

The voice unit can remind you at certain times to test blood glucose. You may enter up to six different alarm times.

Hypo indicator function

In the voice unit you can activate a warning that you may be heading toward hypoglycemia. If a result is unusually low, the

voice unit makes you aware of this. It prompts you to check your result carefully to see if you are becoming hypoglycemic.

Sending data to a computer

The infrared window and USB interface enable you to send results including all additional data entries from the voice unit’s

memory to a PC for more detailed interpretation.

Using an earpiece

Connecting the earpiece (which is provided) to the voice unit mutes the speaker so you hear spoken texts through the earpiece

only.

2.2 Accu-Chek Compact Plus meter

The meter is supplied with the batteries already inserted. The time and date are already set. You may need to adjust these set-

tings to your own time zone (see Chapter 16.3).
