2.1 Accu-Chek Voicemate Plus voice unit
Voice output
The Accu-Chek Voicemate Plus voice unit is a speech output device that uses spoken instructions to guide you through blood
glucose testing with the Accu-Chek Compact Plus meter, and announces the result aloud together with the date and time.
Following appropriate instruction and practice, it helps persons with vision loss with diabetes to test their blood glucose.
Diary
The Accu-Chek Voicemate Plus voice unit has an electronic diary that helps you obtain, save and β if required β add further
items of information to blood glucose results.
It can hold 5000 results. The results are saved in chronological order. You can manually add information to the results, about
insulins and carbohydrates, for instance, as well as comments and user-defined items. This feature is intended to help you
better analyze results at a later date.
Search function
The voice unit has a search function to allow specific entries to be retrieved from among the possible 5000 results and addi-
tional items of information. In the diary you can therefore define and save search criteria for all of the test results in memory.
The voice unit uses these as the basis for retrieving specific test results.
