For sighted persons: Using the meter and cleaning the devices

Clean the meter carefully if
 the test strip guide has become visibly soiled,
 message E-5 is displayed (see Chapter 21.2).
 If the meter is on, press the Test button to turn it off.
 Wait for the motor to stop before you open the meter.
 Open the drum compartment cover by lifting where it projects slightly to the right of the test strip guide.
