For sighted persons: Using the meter and cleaning the devices

If this happens ... it means:
The clock has stopped or
the clock is slow.
 The meter was exposed to a temperature below -10°C and the batteries are beginning to
freeze. Turn the meter off. Let it warm up slowly.
Always keep the meter and batteries at temperatures between -10°C and +50°C
(with test strip drum: between +2°C and +30°C).
When the meter is turned on,
the clock shows 0:00 or
12.00 a.m.
 The meter was exposed to a temperature below -10°C and the batteries are beginning to
freeze. Turn the meter off. Let it warm up slowly.

 The time has not been set.
Set the time as described in Chapter 16.4 “Setting the time”.
