 Hold the tip of the test strip to the drop of control solution. The test strip
draws up the control solution via the black notch.
When the test strip has drawn up sufficient control solution, the meter beeps
(provided the beep tone is turned on), the test strip symbol disappears and the
blood drop symbol stops flashing. Measurement starts automatically and 000
appears in the display.
 Withdraw the test strip from the control solution.
Measurement takes approximately 5 seconds. As the meter conducts the test, the three 000 disappear in turn from the
display.
On completion of the test, the result appears in the display. The meter automatically saves the result to memory.

If you hear beep tones when the test result is displayed, the Acoustic Mode has been turned on in your meter.
You can turn off Acoustic Mode and with it the beep tones (see Chapter 16.1).
If you are using Accu-Chek Compact Autocontrol solution:
The meter automatically detects that you have applied control solution. The bottle symbol , appears in the display when
measurement starts. The bottle symbol is saved along with the result to identify it as a quality control result.
