As warnings that sound after a test are saved together with the result, these also sound when the most recently
saved result is recalled from memory.
The meter displays error messages in the form of an E plus a number. In Acoustic Mode the meter additionally emits four dou-
ble beeps when it displays an error message. There is no further acoustic differentiation. Please refer to Chapter 13 for the
complete list.
20 Checking the meter
Only a sighted person may check the meter (by measuring control solution).
20.1 What you need
To ensure your results are always dependable, you should periodically check the performance of your meter.
Do this by running a quality control check using Accu-Chek Compact Autocontrol solution:
when you open a new pack of test strip drums,
after you have replaced the batteries.
after your meter has displayed the bottle symbol requesting you to perform a quality control check,
after you have cleaned the meter,
if your result does not reflect how you feel.
