For sighted persons: Using the meter and cleaning the devices

If you lose the year, date and time settings, the meter returns to the following settings:

 Year: year of manufacture 20XX, e.g. 2005

 Time: 0:00 or 12:00 a.m., depending on the time/date format you selected previously

 Date: 1-01 as day-month (D-MM) or month-day (M-DD), depending on the time/date format you selected previ-

ously.

16.1 Turning the beep tone on/off

With the beep tone turned on, the meter beeps

 to ask you to apply blood or control solution,

 when you have applied sufficient blood or control solution and the test is commencing,

 when it displays the result,

 each time it displays an error message,
