14 Error messages from the voice unit
Message text Cause Remedy
While the voice unit and meter are in
contact with one another
Saved error message (Menu 5.1)
Contact with meter lost.
No result received.
During a blood glucose test
contact between the voice
unit and meter was inter-
rupted by an intense light
source or another device
with an infrared window.
There are several reasons why con-
tact may have been lost. Is there an
intense light source nearby, e.g. direct
sunlight or a lamp? Intense light in-
terrupts contact. Move out of the sun
or move the lamp further away. Or is
there another device with an infrared
window nearby? This may be, for
instance, a mobile phone or another
blood glucose meter. Other infrared
windows may cause interference.
Move any such device away. After you
have eliminated the cause, press the
OK button. The voice unit then goes
to Menu 3.4. “Download results from
meter” and you can download the
result retrospectively to the voice unit.
