Testing blood glucose

You can also open the tip cover if the meter is already

turned on. In this case, the meter then switches to Test.

It advances a test area to the tip of the cassette and

then the prompt Apply blood appears.

There are the following exceptions:

If you are in the



Settings menu

: In this case, when

you open the tip cover you will be asked whether

you really want to perform a test (see Chapter 16.2).

If you had turned on the meter using the



button (see Chapter 5.1 and 13): In this case, the

meter does not switch to Test. You must ﬁrst turn off

the meter. Then you can start the blood glucose test

either by opening the tip cover or via the Main menu

(see next page).
