The inside
You only need to clean the inside of the meter if
the area around the tip of the cassette is visibly

soiled,
the error message E-1 with the text “Cassette de-

fective Insert new cassette” is displayed; the error
message might be caused by a fault in advancing
the test area to the tip of the cassette,
the error message E-4 with the text “See Reference

Manual” is displayed; the error message might be
caused by fluff, crumbs or the like inside the tip of
the cassette.
To enable you to clean the inside of the meter, you
have to open Clean in the Tools menu and then remove
the test cassette.

If the error message E-4 was displayed, a test
area is lost when you later reinsert the test
cassette.
