Entering Inventory Sales

If you plan to use Simply Accounting to print invoices, you fill in
the information described below, and the program prints it on
the invoice. If you plan to produce invoices by some other
method (such as filling in by hand), you can skip some of the
fields, as noted.
Enter information in these fields:
Transaction.
The appearance and function of the Sales, Orders,
and Quotes window varies, depending on the type of transaction
you select:
Invoice.
For recording details of a sale to a customer.
Sales Order.
For recording a customers order that you will
deliver later. When you fill the order, you can convert the
sales order to an invoice.
Quote.
For recording a sales quote to your customer. (You
can convert the quote to an order or invoice later.)
Details of all sales invoices appear on the Transactions By
Account, All Transactions, and Sales Transaction Details reports.
