5.3 Monitoring Procedure
1. Selecting the SpO2 Probe
Depending on the patient category, weight and application site, you can
select a different SpO2 probe as required.
2. Connecting the SpO2 Probe
Plug the SpO2 probe cable into the SpO2 connector on the oximeter.
3. Applying the SpO2 Probe to the patient
Clean the application site, removing barriers such as colored nail
polish, and apply the probe to the patient.
Warning:
 Do not use the SpO
2
c on a limb where a NIBP cuff has been
applied. This may result in inaccurate SpO
2
readings during cuff
inflation.
 Do not attempt to monitor SpO
2
levels on a finger that has been
painted with nail polish, as this may result in unreliable
measurements.
