3 Parts and their Functions
Scanner – right side

Power button
Press this button to power on the laser scanner. If the laser scanner is on and
running, press this button to power down the laser scanner.
Pressing and holding the button more than 4 seconds will switch off the laser
scanner without shutting down. Only use this option in exceptional cases; for
example, if the shutdown mechanism does not work or the laser scanner is non-
responsive.

START/STOP button
Press this button to start or stop recording a scan.

SD memory slot and cover
Open the cover to insert a card into or release a card from the card slot. For more
information, see Using an SD memory card, page 37.
