User manual
Main zoom:
The main zoom is controlled with the keys + and -, and is static, the amount of zoom does not change
wherever you are on the track. VRC Pro features other camera options to optimize how you view and
experience the sim.
Current settings
Dynamic zoom:
Dynamic zoom only comes in effect when you are outside a certain range from the vantage point, we call this
the cross-over point. The cross-over point is fixed at approx. 20m.
You control the amount of dynamic zoom with this slider but also on the track using left Ctrl + and left Ctrl -.
The amount of dynamic zoom can vary from 0 (no dynamic zoom) to 1.00 (maximum dynamic zoom. When
you adjust the dynamic zoom on the track you can see the dynamic zoom value at the left bottom part of the
screen.
Velocity zoom:
Velocity zoom varies the amount of zoom with the speed of the car. Usually you want little less zoom (more
overview) at high speed. This zoom feature is default set at 0 and should be used by experts only.
You control the amount of velocity zoom with this slider but also on the track using right Ctrl + and right Ctrl -.
The amount of velocity zoom can vary from 0 (no velocity zoom) to 1.00 (maximum velocity zoom). When you
adjust the velocity zoom on the track you can see the velocity zoom value at the left bottom part of the
screen.
Horizontal car offset:
With Horizontal car offset you control the position of the car on the screen. With zero offset the car remains
centered exactly in the middle of the screen. Increasing the offset will move the car to the left of the center
when the car is on the left side of the track, and to the right when moving to the right side of the track. Offset
enhances the overview of the track but also the acceleration and braking effect.
With this slider you can set the amount the car can move to the right and the left of the screen. You can also
set this offset directly when on the track, with keys Alt + and Alt -, the value is displayed at the left bottom
corner of the screen. The amount of offset can be varied from 0.00 (no offset) till 1.00 (maximum offset).
When using VRC Pro with 3 monitors you should set the offset in such a way that the car always stays inside
the middle monitor.
A value of 0.40-0.60 should produce a very realistic result already.
Damping:
With damping you control how quickly the car moves away from the center of the screen. You can also set this
on the track with Shift + and Shift -, with 0.00 there is no damping effect, 1.00 is maximum damping effect. We
advise to only use 0.00 or very low values.
Fix camera when jumping:
With this feature you control if the camera always follows vertical movements of the car.
In ON-mode the camera will stay focused on the track and allow the car to move vertically. An off-road car
jump will therefore look much more natural. This is especially interesting when driving off-road type cars or on
tracks with serious elevations.
In OFF mode the camera will always keep the car in the vertical middle of the screen.
