3-5. Power Management Setup
ACPI Suspend Type:
This item selects the type of Suspend mode.
[S1(POS)]: Enables the Power On Suspend function.
[S3(STR)]: Enables the Suspend to RAM function.
[Auto]: Automatically select the type of suspend mode.
USB Dev Wake-Up From S3:
When set to [Enabled], this item allows you to use a USB device to wake up a system that is in the S3
(STR - Suspend To RAM) state. This item can be configured only if the item “ACPI Suspend Type” is set
to [S3(STR)].
Power Management:
This item allows you to select the type (or degree) of power saving and is directly related to the following
modes: (1) Suspend Mode and (2) HDD Power Down.
There are three options for power management, two of which have fixed mode settings:
User Define: “User Define” defines the delay for accessing the power modes.
Suspend Mode: Disabled 1 Min 2 Min 4 Min 8 Min 12 Min 20 Min 30 Min
40 Min 1 Hour. The default setting is Disabled.
HDD Power Down: Disabled 1 Min 2 Min 3 Min 4 Min 5 Min 6 Min 7 Min
8 Min 9 Hour 10 Min 11 Min 12 Min 13 Min 14 Min 15 Min. The
default setting is Disabled.
Min Saving: When these two saving modes are enabled, the system is set up for minimum power
savings.
Suspend Mode = 1 Hour
HDD Power Down = 15 Min.
Max Saving: When the two saving modes are enabled, the system is set up for maximum power
savings.
