Colour Meaning Explanation Application examples
RED Emergency Action in hazardous situations EMERGENCY STOP, STOP or OFF
or emergency with EMERGENCY STOP pushbutton
Initiating an emergency function
YELLOW Abnormal Action if an abnormal condition is present Intervention required to suppress the
abnormal condition, manual intervention to
restart an interrupted automatic cycle
GREEN Safety Action in safe conditions or to prepare Activation
a normal condition
BLUE Regulation Status requiring action Reset function
WHITE Non-specific Functions start Available for any functions except,
GREY except for emergency stop, e.g.
BLACK ON/OFF; Stop/Start
