Messages
SMS (Short Message Service)
SMS messages from one phone to another is enabled by
programming a Soft/Hot key to
SMS
, see section “Hot keys and
Soft keys” on page 107. If you program the Soft/Hot key without a
destination address you will be able to use it for sending an SMS
to any phone within the system, but you can also choose to send
to a predefined destination address.
An incoming SMS is immediately displayed and the number of
the sending phone is shown on a separate row. The time and
date the SMS was received, and the number of the sending
phone, is shown when you read the message. To view and reply
incoming SMS messages, see section “Text messages” on
page 84. All SMS messages are saved along with other
messages in the message list.
Notes:
This feature may be restricted or not available. Ask the
system administrator for the availability and for more
information.
If you program a Hot key, you have to press and hold the
key when you activate/deactivate this feature.
Send an SMS
SMS Press the preprogrammed Soft/Hot key (see display).

Sending
is displayed as a confirmation of the transfer.
