5.3 HTTPS
If you want to secure the communication between the Aastra SIP Phone and your HTTP server
hosting the XML applications, you can use HTTPS instead of HTTP.
Note: HTTPS provides a reasonable level of security to your XML applications for man-in-the-
middle attacks but you must still make sure that the HTTP server itself is secure, only the data
transport is protected by HTTPS.
