11.6 Setting the Phone's IP Address
If DHCP is used, the phone's IP address is set automatically, using the
DHCP server. To be able to set the phone's IP address manually, DHCP
must first be disabled on the phone, see 11.5 Enabling / Disabling DHCP
on page 33.

11.7 Setting the IP Address to the Default
Gateway
If DHCP is used, the IP address to the default gateway is set automati-
cally, using the DHCP server. To be able to set the IP address to the
default gateway manually, DHCP must first be disabled on the phone,
see11.5 Enabling / Disabling DHCP on page 33.

11.8 Setting the IP Address and Download
Protocol of the Software Server
To download the phone software and configuration files, the phone must
be configured with the type of protocol and IP address matching the soft-
ware server (configuration server). The configuration server can be set
using these alternatives:
• Manually from the phone UI; Options > Admin Menu > [6739i;
select Advanced]> Configuration Server.
• Manually via the administrator web UI: Click on Advanced
Settings > Configuration Server
• Automatically using DHCP, see 18.1 Data from DHCP on page 71.
