Exposure to radio frequency energy
The Gateway is designed, tested, and manufactured
to comply with the limits for exposure to RF energy set
by the Council of the European Union, the FCC and
Industry Canada
For more information about the scientific research
related to RF energy exposure, see the World Health
Organisation’s EMF Research Database at:
www.who.int/peh-emf/research/database.
Radio frequency interference
Radio-frequency emissions from electronic
equipment can negatively affect the operation
of other electronic equipment causing them to
malfunction. Although the Gateway is designed,
tested, and manufactured to comply with
regulations governing radio frequency emissions
in the European Union and North America, the
wireless transmitters and electrical circuits in the
Gateway may cause interference in other electronic
equipment.
Repair and modification
Do not attempt to repair or modify the Gateway
yourself. The Gateway does not contain any
user-serviceable parts. Disassembling the Gateway
may cause damage that is not covered under the
warranty. If the Gateway has been submerged in
water, punctured, or subjected to a severe drop,
do not use, and contact Conek to request a
replacement. For further information contact
asafe.com.
Operating temperatures
The Gateway is designed to operate in temperatures
between -20° and 50°C (-4° to 122°F). Low or high
temperature conditions might cause the Gateway
to temporarily stop working properly. Avoid dramatic
changes in temperature or humidity where the
Gateway is in use, as condensation may form on or
within the device.
6. Product care and maintenance
Handling the Gateway
The Gateway contains sensitive components. Do
not drop, disassemble, burn, paint, or insert foreign
objects into the Gateway. Do not use the Gateway if
it has been damaged – for example, if it is cracked,
punctured, or damaged by water.
Cleaning the Gateway
Use a soft, slightly damp, lint-free cloth to clean to
outer surfaces of the Gateway if required. Avoid
getting moisture in openings. Do not use window
cleaners, industrial cleaners, aerosol sprays, solvents,
alcohol, ammonia, or abrasives to clean the
Gateway.
Avoiding water and wet locations
Do not expose the Gateway to water or rain or
handle near wet locations. If the Gateway gets wet,
disconnect the power and allow to dry thoroughly
before reconnecting. Do not attempt to dry the
Gateway with an external heat source, such as
a microwave oven or hair dryer. Damage to the
Gateway caused by contact with liquid is not
covered under warranty.
Limitations
