When the battery is used:
1. Remove the power cable from the
electrical outlet.
2. Remove the screw from the battery
compartment cover on the rear of the
instrument.
3. Slide the cover to remove it.
4. Insert the battery connector into the
connector port of the battery
compartment as shown in the illustration.
5. Install the battery as shown in the
illustration, using much care to avoid
damaging the cables. Mate the portion
that the cables come out to the groove of
the battery compartment.
6. Slide the cover to install it.
7. Screw the cover.
Caution
Use the specified battery only.
Switching the power supply
When the AC adapter does not supply power, under the conditions as described below, the instrument
automatically starts battery operation.
 The AC adapter cable is removed from the instrument.
 The power cable is removed from the electrical outlet.
 Power failure
Caution
Power supply is switched automatically. The power supply currently used appears at
the lower right side of the display. Refer to "6-12 Power Supply" for details.
