Computer IP address setting
Follow the procedure below to set a computer IP address. The procedure may vary, depending on the OS
in use. The procedure below is provided for Windows 2000. With Windows XP, refer to page 2-11,
Computer IP address setting.”
Procedure
1) From the [Start] menu, select [Settings] and then [Control Panel]. The [Control Panel] dialog box is
displayed.
2) Double-click [Network and Dial-up Connections]. The [Network and Dial-up Connections] dialog box
is displayed.
3) In the dialog box, select [Local Area Connection]. From the right-click menu, select [Properties].
The [Local Area Connection Properties] dialog box is displayed.
4) Select [Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)]. Click the [Properties] button. The [Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)
Properties] dialog box is displayed.
5) Set an IP address. When necessary, also make settings for [Subnet mask] and [Default gateway].
Whenever an IP address change is made, turn the computer off and then back on.
