GWS Radio RF Parameters to Establish Radio Link: Client Station

We have now manually configured GWS radios base station channel, transmit power and

receive gain.

In this test set up we can see the link has been successfully established.

However, in a real deployment the base station will be pre-configured based on:

• Channel availability

• Channel quality

• Simulations to determine the required coverage/range

The simulations will include the antenna gain of both the base station and the client station

and the antenna height above ground level (AGL).

Assuming the simulation shows that sufficient signal can be obtained at a prospective client

location a truck roll is initiated, and the client station radio and antenna installation will be

performed.

The following procedure explains how to connect to the base station when logged into a

client station.
