3 Troubleshooting
Problem Reporting Instructions
If you have any questions or issues with this product or the installation, please contact the place in
which you purchased it from. If it was purchased direct from 4D Tech, the feel free to contact us by
emailing support@4dtech.com, or calling us at (800) 323-3050. Please have your order number ready.
No lights are present when CANopener Flash is
plugged into the OBD-II port.
This indicates that there is no power at the OBD
port. Make sure the fuse for the OBD port is not
blown & verify that the vehicle is a supported
Make and Model.
The light is solid RED.
This indicates that you have already used this
device on another vehicle (or have reached the
maximum number of vehicles that are licensed)
and that it cannot be used on the vehicle it is
currently plugged into.
The light is blinking RED.
This indicates that there was an internal error.
Please contact us for support.
The light is GREEN but it does not seem to have
worked.
Many modules require a reset. This reset is
automatically issued by the CANopener Flash. Be
patient as some modules take over 1 minute to
reset.
