3 1 Overview Thank you for choosing to purchase the CANopener™ Flash from 4D Tech, Inc! The CANopener Flash, part of the CANopener line of products was created to be simple, quick and easy to use. This standalone handheld programmer allows anyone to enable functionality in their vehicle without expensive equipment or technical knowledge. Feature Listing The CANopener Flash is sold under numerous part numbers, each allowing for different programming applications based on the included license.
4 2 Use & Operation Insert Simply insert the CANopener Flash into the OBD-II port. Although the placement changes slightly from vehicle to vehicle, it will always be on the driver’s side, below the steering wheel. Sometimes there will be a cover that must be removed by hand to access it. Once successfully connected to the vehicle, you will see a blinking BLUE light while programming is in progress.
