circulationsystemchanges.

3MSoftwareSupportmayaskyoutomonitortheloginprocesstodetermineiftheIntelligentReturnandSorterSystem
isattemptingtologintothehost.
Tosetupsessionlogging:
1.Onthe3MIntelligentReturnSystemManagerSupporttab,clicktheLogLevelboxandthenclicktherequested
loglevel(Allpreferred).
2.ClickSetLevel,andthenrestartthesystem.
Communicationschecklist
V erifythatthedatacableisproperlyconnectedtothesystemnetworkconnector.
V erifythatthehostisoperatingproperlyandiscapableofacceptingaconnectionfromthesystem.
Ifaterminalserverisused,verifythatitisrunningandiscapableofacceptingaconnectionfromthesystem.
Checktoseeifanynetworkpasswordshavechanged.
Checktoseeifthepathoranyotheraccessestothenetworkorthehosthavechanged.
Checkwhetherthesystemwasimproperlyturnedofforotherwisedisconnectedfromthehostwithoutproperlylogging
offthesystem.Thiscouldleavethehostconnectionactive,whichwouldpreventthesystemfromlogginginuntilthe
portisreset.
Checkwhetherthehostportneedstoberesettoallowaconnectionfromthesystem.
Checkwhetherthesystemgetsdisconnectedfromthehostwithoutanyoneinitiatingthelogoffprocess.Thehostcomputer
maybedroppingtheconnection.
