isattemptingtologintothehost.
Tosetupsessionlogging:
1.Onthe3MIntelligentReturnSystemManagerSupporttab,clicktheLogLevelboxandthenclicktherequested
loglevel(Allpreferred).
2.ClickSetLevel,andthenrestartthesystem.
Communicationschecklist
•V erifythatthedatacableisproperlyconnectedtothesystemnetworkconnector.
•V erifythatthehostisoperatingproperlyandiscapableofacceptingaconnectionfromthesystem.
•Ifaterminalserverisused,verifythatitisrunningandiscapableofacceptingaconnectionfromthesystem.
•Checktoseeifanynetworkpasswordshavechanged.
•Checktoseeifthepathoranyotheraccessestothenetworkorthehosthavechanged.
•Checkwhetherthesystemwasimproperlyturnedofforotherwisedisconnectedfromthehostwithoutproperlylogging
offthesystem.Thiscouldleavethehostconnectionactive,whichwouldpreventthesystemfromlogginginuntilthe
portisreset.
•Checkwhetherthehostportneedstoberesettoallowaconnectionfromthesystem.
•Checkwhetherthesystemgetsdisconnectedfromthehostwithoutanyoneinitiatingthelogoffprocess.Thehostcomputer
maybedroppingtheconnection.
