The result is a tough, aggressive wheel designed for heavy stock removal, as well as removal of slag and heavy burrs on mild steel, cast iron, and stainless steel.

All T27 Wheels without a center hub require a backup system. 3M recommends the use of the standard T27, metal backup plate, on all depressed wheels 7" and 9" in diameter, with 7/8" center holes (UPC 051144-88769-9); or for 4 1/2", 5" and 7" 3M™ Green Corps™ Flexible Grinding Wheel, the plastic back-up plate noted above may be used. Tools with arbors other than 5/8"-11 may be adapted using the 3M shaft adaptor #9 to convert to 5/8"11: for M10-1.25 INT use 048011-22971-3; M10-1.
