FCC RF Exposure Statement (cont)
The headset is designed to meet the requirements for exposure to radio waves
established by the Federal Communications Commission (USA) in the FCC
OET bulletin 65 and Industry Canada RSS 102 standard. These requirements
set a SAR limit of 1.6 W/kg averaged over one gram of tissue. The highest
SAR value reported under these standards during product certification for use
at the right head position is 0.03mW/g.
The XT-1 Base Station complies with FCC RF radiation exposure limits. This
equipment should be installed and operated with a minimum distance of 20
cm between the radiator and your body. This includes any external antenna.
For any external antenna that is used with the XT-1 Base Station, the
minimum length of RF cable required is 75 feet
The use of accessories not approved by 3M Company, including but not
limited to batteries, antennas, wall adapters, chargers, ear gels and foam tips
and convertible covers, may cause your headset to malfunction or in the case
of unapproved electrical accessories may cause the device to exceed RF
energy exposure guidelines.
Note:
This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a
Class A digital device, pursuant to part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are
designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference when
the equipment is operated in a commercial environment. This equipment
generates, uses, and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed
and used in accordance with the instruction manual, may cause harmful
interference to radio communications. Operation of this equipment in a
residential area is likely to cause harmful interference in which case the user
will be required to correct the interference at his own expense.
