Application
The surfaces that need to be fixed must be clean; it means without dust, grease,
and oil and separation agent?
The surfaces must be clean, compact and as smooth as possible. However no
abrasion is necessary.
For the cleaning light solvent are recommended, such as the grease surface
cleaner 3M S-15. During application on synthetic materials, a compatibility
test is recommended.
The ideal temperature during the adhesion is between +18 C and +30 C.
Temperature below + 10 C are not recommended since the adhesive becomes
too hard and therefore its initial adhesion too weak.
Once correctly applied, lower temperatures do not have any effect on the
quality of the adhesion.
An optimal short pressure (4.5 kg/ cm2 of surface adhesion) enables a contact
on the whole surface and then gives the ideal conditions for a perfect adhesion.
For application with double coated tape, one must check that the tape is well
fixed on the piece that must be mounted before peeling the liner.
The quantity of adhesion depends upon the design, the construction and upon
the temperature and mechanical constraints of the assembly.

Storage
The rolls of adhesive tape can be stored for a period of 12 months. It is
recommended to keep the rolls in their original packaging at room temperature
(about +18 C) and under relative air humidity of about 60%.
