Removable Foam Tape 4656F
Surfaces
Laboratory tests have
shown 4656F Removable
Foam Tape to have
excellent attachment to a
wide range of surfaces.
Clean removability is also
possible from most of
these surfaces.
Low cohesive strength
surfaces, such as painted
wood chip paper, blown
vinyl and plasterboard may
delaminate on removal.
Acceptable surfaces:
- Foamex
- Glass/Mirrors
- Metal
- Acrylic
- Ceramic tiles
- Wood
- Plastic (including low
surface energy plastics)
- Paper
- Brick
- Plaster/cement
- Forex/Correx
- Chipboard
Low cohesive strength
surfaces
- Wood chip wallpaper
- Blown vinyl
- Plasterboard
- Fabric and cloth
- Emulsion painted

Application Techniques
1. Bond strength is
dependent upon the
amount of adhesive-to-
surface contact developed.
Firm application pressure
develops better adhesive
contact & thus improves
bond strength.
2. To obtain optimum
adhesion, the bonding
surfaces must be clean dry
and well unified. A typical
surface cleaning solvent is
isopropyl alcohol & water.
Use proper safety
precautions for handling
solvents.
3. Ideal tape application
temperature range is 0°C to
25°C
Removal Techniques
Use the removal tool to
prise apart rigid substrates,
then peel to remove
completely.
For flexible surfaces peel
back slowly to ensure clean
removal.
