he 3M

™

MS Disposable Skin Stapler

dispenses box-style staples versus arcuate,

suture-style staples used in the 3M DS

skin staplers. Both the box-style and arcuate-style

“floating” staples provide several performance

advantages, including optimal wound closure

and support.

•

The rigid design holds wound edges securely

by compressing the tissue between the legs

of the staple.

•

“Floating” staples maintain wound edge

apposition without the need to fill them

with tissue; allowing for appropriate edema

to occur.

•

Both styles offer speed of closure, elimination

of cross-hatching and ease of removal for

enhanced cosmetic results as well as less wound

and patient trauma.

Both MS and DS Staplers are available in

three configurations: 5, 15 and 25 staples.

The user-friendly design of 3M

Disposable MS

and DS Skin Stapler Systems dispenses “floating”

staples which allow room for edema and easy

removal with less trauma.

3M MS skin staplers are slightly larger than 3M

DS models, yet both are designed to be compatible

with 3M Multi-Shot Skin Stapler Systems.
