Self-Adherent Wrap* may be used to secure dressings without

tension around limbs or digits.

Compression: Compression may be applied to a dressing by using a stretchable

tape or a self-adherent wrap. Compression should come from the multiple layers

of dressing material, not from excessive tension in the tape. See Tape Application

Techniques (p. 20). As noted before, skin distention under tape may result in

blistering and should be relieved as soon as possible. Follow product instructions

Self-Adherent Wrap is used as an elastic wrap to provide

compression.
