Fan 1040 Series is designed to be used with
the 3M
™
4000+ Series Reusable Half Face Masks which are
a range of ready-to-use, maintenance-free half face masks.
It is designed to reduce heat and moisture build up inside the
mask to aid wearer comfort. It includes a rechargeable battery
and can be recharged with the included USB charger.

4000+
Series, the respirator continues to exceed the gas capacity
requirements of EN 405. When tested at the flows stated
in EN 405, however, the service life of the respirator with
organic vapour filters may reduce by up to 20%. The
service life of the respirator with inorganic vapour, acid
gas and ammonia filter may reduce by up to 33%. Please
take this into account when considering your change
outschedule.

7. The 3M

should not be used in the
followingconditions:
a. In atmospheres containing less than 19.5% oxygen
b. Confined spaces (lack of ventilation)
c. When the risk is Immediately Dangerous for Life
orHealth(IDLH)
d. Where the contaminant concentration is above the
protection limit defined for 4000+ user instructions
