IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS.Thismanual containsimportantinstructionsthat you
should followduring installationof the UPS.Pleaseread allinstructionsbefore
operatingthe equipmentand save this manualfor futurereference.

ThisUPScontainsLETHAL VOLTAGES.Allrepairsand service should be performed
byAUTHORIZED SERVICE PERSONNEL ONLY. Thereare NO USER
SERVICEABLE PARTS inside theUPS.
CAUTION
Batteriescanpresent ariskof electrical shockor burn fromhigh short circuit
current.Observe properprecautions.
Proper disposalof batteriesisrequired.Refer toyourlocalcodesfor disposal
requirements.
ThisUPScontainsitsown energysource(batteries).The output receptaclesmay
carrylive voltage even whenthe UPSisnot connectedto an ACsupply.
Neverdisposeofbatteriesina fire.Batteriesmayexplodewhenexposedtoflame.
Neveropen or mutilatebatteries.Released electrolyteisharmfulto the skin and
eyes,and maybe extremelytoxic.
Useonlythepower supplycord providedwiththisUPS.Thepower cordis wiredin
accordancewith NationalElectricalCode (NEC) specifications. Be sure thewall
outletto be used with theUPS iswired inaccordance with thesesame
specificationsinorder toavoid damage toyourequipment.Be surethat
overcurrent protectionfor theAC outlet isprovided atthe time ofinstallation.Be
surethe inputplugiscompletelyinsertedinto thewalloutlet.Use asingle-phase,
three-wire,grounded AC outlet only.
To reducethe riskof fireor electricshock, installthisUPSin atemperature and
humiditycontrolled,indoorenvironment,freeofconductivecontaminants.Ambient
temperature mustnot exceed 104 F(40C).Donot operatenear water or
excessive humidity (95% max).
Donot removeor unplugthe input cord whenthe UPSisturned on. This removes
the safetyground fromthe UPSand the equipment connected tothe UPS.
