Alterations could cause a fire resulting in serious injury and could also ruin the electrical system. - Use of the wrong type battery or charger could cause a fire or explosion resulting in serious injury. • The 12V battery must be handled by adults only. The 12V battery is heavy and contains sulfuric acid (electrolyte). Dropping the 12V battery could result in serious injury.
C Parts • If you experience a problem with this product, or are missing a part, please call us at 1-510-483-5700 ext. 28, rather than return this product to the store. • Please identify all parts before assembly and save all packaging material until assembly is complete to ensure that no parts are discarded.
D Battery Charging ELECTRICAL HAZARD WARNING ! • PREVENT FIRE - Never modify the electrical system. 1 • Open the battery hatch from the battery compartment.
2 • Using a Phillips screwdriver, loosen the screws from the battery clamp. Remove the battery clamp from the battery compartment. 3 • Remove the battery connector from the HMMWV M1045A2 TOW Missile Carrier harness connector.
4 • Remove the 12 Volt (7.0 Amp/Hr.) battery from the battery compartment. 5 • Plug the charger connector into the battery connector.
6 • Plug the charger into a standard 120 volt wall outlet. Note: If power flowing to the wall outlet is controlled by a switch, make sure the switch is “ON”. • Before first time use, charge the 12V battery for at least 18 hours. Never charge the 12V battery longer than 30 hours. • Recharge the 12V battery for at least 14 hours after each use of your vehicle. Do not charge the 12V battery longer than 30 hours. • Once the 12V battery is charged, disconnect the charger connector from the battery connector.
E Battery Installation HMMWV M1045A2 TOW Missile Carrier: IMPORTANT! Use only a 12 Volt (7.0 Amp/Hr.) battery. Use of any other battery will damage your HMMWV M1045A2 TOW Missile Carrier. Make sure that you charge the 12V battery for at least 18 hours using the enclosed 12 Volt charger before operating your HMMWV M1045A2 TOW Missile Carrier for the first time. Charge the 12V battery for at least 14 hours after each use of the HMMWV M1045A2 TOW Missile Carrier.
2 • Using a screwdriver, loosen the screws from the battery clamp. Remove the battery clamp from the battery compartment. 3 • ATTENTION: Make sure the battery connector wires are connected to the same color of the battery pole i.e. black color wire connector connected to the black color battery pole (-ve) and red color wire connector connected to the red color battery pole (+ve).
• Place the 12 Volt (7.0 Amp/Hr.) battery upright in the battery compartment. Make sure the battery connector extends toward HMMWV M1045A2 TOW Missile Carrier body. 4 • Plug the battery connector into the HMMWV M1045A2 TOW Missile Carrier harness connector.
5 • Position the battery clamp over the battery with the ends of the battery clamp aligned with the screw holes in the battery compartment. • Insert the screws through the ends of the battery clamp into the battery compartment. • Fasten the screws with a Phillips screwdriver. Do not over-fastening. 6 • .Close the battery hatch.
Radio Controller: • Switch the power to “OFF”. • Unscrew the battery hatch located on the back of the radio controller with a screwdriver and remove it.
• Insert 8 pieces of AA 1.5V battery in the proper direction as indicated inside the battery compartment. • Replace the battery hatch & fasten screw securely.
F Battery Care and Disposal Care If a battery leak develops, avoid contact with the leaking acid and place the damaged battery in a plastic bag. See information below for proper disposal. If acid comes in contact with skin or eyes, flush with cool water for at least 15 minutes and call a physician. If acid is internally ingested, provide water, milk of magnesia or egg whites immediately for ingestion. Never give emetics or induce vomiting. Call a physician immediately.
G Caring For Your HMMWV M1045A2 TOW Missile Carrier • During snowy or rainy weather, the HMMWV M1045A2 TOW Missile Carrier should be stored inside or under a protective cover. Remember to charge the 12V battery at least once per month while your Humvee is not in regular use. • Avoid operating the HMMWV M1045A2 TOW Missile Carrier in wet or snowy conditions. H How to Operate Your HMMWV M1045A2 TOW Missile Carrier •To operate a HMMWV M1045A2 TOW Missile Carrier, switch on the Power Switch of the Vehicle and Radio Controller. • Extend the antenna of the Radio Controller. • Use Volume button to adjust the sound level. • Use the Steering Wheel to control the HMMWV M1045A2 TOW Missile Carrier to turn LEFT and RIGHT. • Use Fine Tune Button (steering) to adjust the turning angle of LEFT and RIGHT side of the front wheels.
• Use the Trigger to control the HMMWV M1045A2 TOW Missile Carrier to FORWARD, BACKWARD. • Insert the missile into the cannon. Push the Fire Buttons to launch the missile (with missile firing sound). • The LED (RED, YELLOW, GREEN) on the Radio Controller are indicated the power remaining.
I Problems and Solutions Guide If your HMMWV M1045A2 TOW Missile Carrier does not operate: - Make sure the batteries are installed properly. - Recharge your 12V battery. - Make sure your HMMWV M1045A2 TOW Missile Carrier is turned on and the Controller is turned on. - Make sure the battery contacts have not become dirty. If they have, simply wipe with dry cloth. If your HMMWV M1045A2 TOW Missile Carrier responds slowly: - Recharge the 12V battery.
Short run time Driving conditions are too stressful Undercharged battery Use only on generally level ground. Extreme temperatures can also affect running time. Charge the 12V battery. Some batteries do not make noise or swell while charging. No action required. If your charger does not get warm during use, it does not mean that it is not working properly.
